On the Purpose of the Body

My followers do not overvalue nor undervalue the body while here. But stumbling over form is natural while you are unnaturally disposed. This is why special agents in the dream are part of the Plan of the Atonement. Not for their own sake, but for yours, they come. It also is why special agents like myself have come from outside of the dream to stir your remembrance of what I taught.  It is a means of communicating to the end that the body will soon be no longer needed to express God's Love. The end of death is but the translation of the soul to a higher state of being in which the physicality of form is gently laid aside, in favor of a more direct experience of life.  This state is reached when you desire but that you may be of maximal service. It is true; your release is not complete until all your brothers attain the same. But limit not the form helpfulness takes.

The body is neither divine in and of itself, nor is it debased per se. It is, like all things here, wholly neutral. The body can be said to be holy when it serves but its intended purpose. Use it for attack, pleasure, or for pride, and it follows that it will seem to be a vile thing: unholy, weak and frail. On the other hand, if your body is employed in the service of the spirit in the creation of the good, holy, and beautiful, so will it seem to you. The body's an idol -- the central one -- cherished and worshiped by all of its sick devotees who perceive something in it they can possess and perchance even "love". The Word of Life, Who never was made flesh, calls now to you to recall your purpose: to see and teach the unimportance of the body to those who do not yet see. This, too, must be performed in the spirit of kindness, of true helpfulness, and most importantly, that you come to Me first to know God's Will for you and your brother.
